Star & Co Financial Services Pty Limited provides financial services focusing on SMSF/superannuation advice (*) but also encompassing more future-looking strategic advice that is aimed towards meeting your personal goals. Our extensive taxation and business services experience, our intimate knowledge of each client’s situation and the fact we do not promote particular financial products, differentiates our skill set to traditional financial planners.
Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL)
Star & Co was required to obtain a limited AFSL licence to provide superannuation advice as part of the Future of Financial Advice (FOFA) reforms. As we have wealth of experience and knowledge in the self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) space, we decided to remodel our practice and complete the extensive education requirements to provide SMSF advisory services through a new financial planning entity – Star & Co Financial Services Pty Limited AFSL Licence No: 484852.
(*) The limited licence means that we can advise on class of financial products (eg: equities), deal in superannuation financial products (eg: setting up a SMSF) however, we can not advise on specific financial products (eg: particular shares, although we are able to refer you to a specialist).

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Policy
Our practice values the many benefits of lifelong learning to maintain and develop our knowledge and skills providing increased value to clients.
Our advisors must meet the requirements for continuing professional development (CPD) under the Corporations Act 2021, Corporations (Relevant Providers Continuing Professional Development Standard) Determination 2018 and Corporations (Relevant Providers - Education and Training Standards) Determination 2021. Our CPD Policy explains the CPD requirements applying to each advisor to maintain a high level of relevant knowledge and skills to meet these rules and requirements.
